Sahid Tourism English
International Clinic (STEIC) is a group of student activities in STP Sahid as containers that provide
learning, training, and application of the English language that does not only consist
of Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Grammar, but also implementing active
behavior for each of its members.
Sahid Tourism English International Clinic (STEIC) has a special meaning behind the name. The use of the word "clinic" is defined as a treatment for people who are sick in order to get relief. Is the main purpose of STEIC itself as a place that can be to learn the English language for those who can not or for those who are already proficient in English in order to improve English language skills better.
The group was founded in 2010 by Mr. Muhammad Aziz, PBU 5 students and Ms. Rina Kurniawati, MBA, as a adviser. Previously, the group was named the English Club. In the early formation of English Club is only composed of 5-10 members of the students PBU 5 that came and went. Then after some time, the English Club was halted temporarily due to some constraints. Then in 2011, some students of PBU 7 raised the English Club and began its inauguration to the institution through Puket III known by Mr. Budi Setiawan, SE. MM with the name "Sahid Tourism English International Clinic" on October 10, 2011 by Adrian Stephen Iryanto, et al. There are many changes in this period by the number of members began to grow and varied activities. Unfortunately, students who join many from PBU students rather than regular students, instead STEIC established for all students STP Sahid . This could happen possibly because less vigorous promotion.
In the year 2012, it is a good development for STEIC because it has a number of members more, until October 2012 registered 49 new members of the studentS from academic year 2012. Comprised of sPBU 8 students and Regular. This will bring a positive impact on the progress STEIC.
STEIC trying to help its members to share knowledge and experience particularly in the field of English to improve their language skills. Since we were engaged in the Hospitality Industry which became the largest industry in the world and the English language is one of the languages to achieve it.
